sculptra vs. dermal fillers: what’s the difference?

Sculptra and dermal fillers both restore facial volume, but they work in very different ways. Dermal fillers, made from hyaluronic acid, provide immediate volume by plumping the skin in targeted areas like the lips, cheeks, and smile lines. They offer quick results but typically last 6-12 months before requiring a touch-up.

Sculptra, on the other hand, works gradually by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production. Instead of providing instant volume, it enhances skin structure over time, with results appearing 3-6 months after treatment and lasting up to 2 years. Sculptra is best for overall facial rejuvenation and improving skin texture, while fillers are ideal for instant, targeted volume enhancement.
